My name is Angela Jennie Siano and I was born June 26th 1998. I have a strong passion for the performing art of music, enjoys swimming, spending time with family and friends; spreading kindness to others. I had recently earned my Associate in Science Degree in Music Performance at Queensborough Community College in Bayside Queens, New York. I had been accepted into the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College in Flushing. I am continuing my education to pursue a bachelor degree in music education in hope of becoming a future music teacher for children. The reason I share my story I Fought Like A Girl is to share my personal experience of what I physically and mentally went through. These are my words, experience, struggle and fight. This is the truth of living life with cancer. Living with a tumor you never even knew had growing inside you for years. No cancer is ever considered the good cancer.

I want to thank the people who were there for me during this very difficult time especially my family, boyfriend, my small group of close friends and the maternal figures in my life. These people during this fight provided myself comfort, love and strength. I thank them from the bottom of my heart. I also must thank my medical teams, my surgeon and my main doctor for saving my life. My work is dedicated to the loving memory of my grandfather Michael Younghese. I also write for my fellow butterfly warriors who won, are still battling and had lost their battle. We spread our wings, we fly high and strong together!

"Butterflies had symbolized me since the day I was born..although my internal one flew away, I will never stop loving them" -AJS
